Film first
runner-up

In 2020, we were excited to be able to enter the Cannes Young Lions competition one more time, after being named First Runner Up in the digital category in 2019. The competition is a call to all creatives under 30 to answer a surprise brief for a nonprofit partner and turn some great work around with just 10 days. The 2020 brief was focused on helping the nonprofit CureSearch connect with potential corporate sponsors.

In 10 days, we concepted and created the following film, exploring the insight that so many potential corporate partners have worked hard to tailor their products and offerings towards exactly the demographic CureSearch exists to help: children.

For our work, we earned a first runner-up title out of hundreds of US entries. Also, we were the first team ever to place in two different categories after placing in the Digital competition in 2019.

If you’re keeping score at home, this also makes us the first to narrowly lose the top spot in two categories in back-to-back years. We are the Meryl Streep of Cannes Young Lions.

DIGITAL SUBMISSION

We also crafted an entry for the digital competition on the same timeline. This year narrowed the focus to corporate donors and sponsors, which inspired our idea for DreamJobs.
